Individual
Psychotherapy
Individual psychotherapy is a collaborative and confidential process between a therapist and a client aimed at addressing various psychological, emotional, and behavioural challenges. It provides a non-judgmental, safe space for individuals to explore and understand themselves more deeply, work through difficult experiences, and develop healthier coping strategies.

Within the safety of the therapeutic relationship, clients are encouraged to delve into their inner world, including thoughts, feelings, memories, beliefs, and patterns of behavior, while also considering their interpersonal dynamics, significant relationships, and past traumas. Every subject is welcome for discussion, and I strongly encourage clients to approach therapy with openness, honesty, and vulnerability.

Individual psychotherapy is tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. Whether dealing with issues such as grief, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, life transitions, or simply seeking greater self-awareness and fulfillment, therapy offers a space for exploration, reflection, and empowerment. I work with people of all ages, genders, sexual identities, and backgrounds. Regardless of what brings you to therapy, you will be welcomed, respected, and heard without judgment

What to expect
During the initial sessions, we will focus on building rapport and understanding your unique needs and goals. This begins with an assessment to gather information about your presenting concerns, personal history, and current life circumstances. We will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, explore past experiences, and identify patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

We will also discuss your expectations, preferences, and goals for therapy, as well as any questions or concerns you may have. I will provide information about the therapeutic process, confidentiality, and the boundaries of our therapeutic relationship.

Therapy sessions are 51 minutes long and typically scheduled weekly. The duration of therapy can vary from a few weeks to several years, depending on your presenting issues, desire to continue therapy, and available resources.

“Psychological flexibility is the ability to feel and think with openness, to attend voluntarily to your experience of the present moment, and to move your life in directions that are important to you, building habits that allow you to live life in accordance with your values and aspirations. It’s about learning not to turn away from what is painful, instead turning toward your suffering in order to live a life full of meaning and purpose.”
